MOTOACTV Smartwatch Receives a $100 Price Cut

In the fast paced world of mobile technology, smartwatches haven’t exactly caught on. While neat in concept, most smartwatch devices have limited functionality and high price tags. Perhaps seeing the error of its ways, Motorola has carved off $100 from its $249.99 asking price for its 8GB MOTOACTV smartwatch.

In addition to being an MP3 player and GPS tracker, the MOTOACTV runs a unique build of Gingerbread and can be used as a companion device for your favorite Android powered smartphone via Bluetooth. The smartwatch allows you to answer calls and receive text messages without having to reach for your phone.

If you’re a fitness buff whose smartphone workout apps just aren’t cutting it, the MOTOACTV’s slimmed down price point just might fit nicely into your workout plan.  Would the price cut entice you buy-in to the smartwatch?
