Amazon on Tuesday dropped the prices of four smartphones as part of its new summer sale, which runs for a limited time. There are several older devices up for grabs at budget prices, including the HTC EVO ($79.99), the Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G ($0.01) and the Motorola DROID RAZR ($0.01), but the biggest deal is on the Samsung Galaxy S III for Sprint.
AmazonWireless is now offering Samsung’s Galaxy S III flagship on Sprint, which we have ranked as our favorite smartphone on the carrier, for just $139.99. That is $60 cheaper than Sprint itself offers the device for on contract. Unfortunately, AmazonWireless isn’t selling AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon models of the phone at the same price — but you can still grab those phones at lower price than you would from your carrier with a new two-year contract.
We have typically made our new phone purchases direct from wireless retail stores. Have you ever purchased a device from AmazonWireless? What has your experience been like?
