Halo 4 Special Edition Xbox 360 is No Blue Light Special

Halo 4 Xbox - 640

The Halo franchise is no stranger to special edition bundles, but the upcoming one for Halo 4 does have a few twists.

This new Halo 4 Xbox 360 will be sporting a 320GB hard drive, two matching controllers and a standard edition copy of Halo 4 for your $399, but the devil is on the details on this one.  As opposed to the usual green lights on the console and controllers, fans will find themselves bathed in the comforting glow of blue lights which fit in nicely with the whole Halo motif.  Additionally, in-game sounds will play whenever you turn the console on or jit the eject button. Those of you who pony up for this bundle will also receive a code for downloadable Halo 4 content such as a unique armor skin, unique weapon skin, unique emblem, matching avatar armor and a unique avatar prop.

In other words, this is a Halo fanatics dream.

Of course, if you already own an Xbox 360, it’s going to be difficult to justify this purchase, and with this console inevitably coming to the end of its life-cycle, it might also be a little difficult to reason out the purchase just for the extra goodies.

Both the game and the bundle release on November 6.
