Sprint 4G LTE Kicking Off a Day Early for Some Users

by Sean P. Aune | July 14, 2012

Sprint 4G LTE

Although the switch doesn’t officially get thrown until tomorrow, it appears that the Sprint LTE network is starting to come to life.

Due to launch on Sunday in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio, there are reports of random pockets of service starting to pop up in all five cities. This is more than likely due to last minute testing of the towers, so don’t count on anything being consistent until tomorrow sometime .

It may have taken the Now Network forever to enter the LTE age, and its speeds may not be quite what AT&T and Verizon are offering thus far, but it looks the age of WiMax has finally had the last nail put in its coffin.
