Alleged Best Buy Inventory Listing Displays Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S III

The Samsung Galaxy S III has gone on sale at just about every major U.S. carrier. But what about people who would like to purchase an unlocked version of Samsung’s critically acclaimed handset? Pictured above is an alleged internal Best Buy screenshot, which lists a Pebble Blue i9300 unlocked GSM Galaxy S III priced at $799.99.

It should be noted that the screenshot lists the device’s quantity at zero and that this could very well be a filler for a future product order. AndroidCentral notes that Best Buy sold unlocked Galaxy S IIs in retails stores in major markets and online as well.

Is the possibility of being able to purchase an unlocked Galaxy S III enough to make you hold out on purchasing a carrier locked version of the handset?
