Sprint Epic 4G Touch Ice Cream Sandwich Rolling Out Now

Epic 4G Touch - Galaxy S II

Sprint Epic 4G Touch owners the wait is finally over. We told you it was coming, and now Sprint has made it official; the Epic 4G Touch is getting Ice Cream Sandwich starting today.

Sprint was the first U.S. carrier to offer Samsung’s Galaxy S II, but sadly the Now Network has been the last to upgrade its device to Ice Cream Sandwich. However, unlike its competition, which required the use of Samsung’s Kies software to update users’ Galaxy S IIs, Sprint has managed to secure an over-the-air software push.

If your device hasn’t received notification of an update being available, you can try to manually initiate the process via your phone’s settings. If still unsuccessful, relax, these things tend to hit in waves and Sprint goes on to state that the software is expected to reach all users by next month.

Should you be one of the lucky customers who receive the update today, we’d love to hear about your experience with this new software via our comments.
