Last year Sprint was America’s first carrier to offer the Samsung Galaxy S II, which came in the form of the Epic 4G Touch. However, the Now Network appears to be the last major U.S. carrier to bring Android 4.0 to its respective Galaxy S II variant. Last but not forgotten, it appears that Sprint’s Epic 4G Touch is scheduled to receive its helping of Ice Cream Sandwich starting on July 12th.
This news comes from an anonymous tipster who has shared an alleged internal screenshot with AndroidCentral. The update is said to roll out over a course of eight days, with the last recipients expected to receive the software push by July 20th. In our experience with delayed updates we wouldn’t hold our breath waiting for this, but if this claim holds true, we’re sure that this will make a lot of Epic 4G Touch owners happy.
