Nexus 7 Android 4.1.1 Update Rolling Out Now

Google’s Nexus 7 hasn’t made its official public debut yet, but that doesn’t mean the search engine guru isn’t supporting its first purebred tablet with software updates. A new software update is rolling out to Nexus 7s across the map and bringing Google’s 7-inch tablet to Android 4.1.1.

We’ve managed to pull down the update ourselves and according to the changelog, this small 12.6MB update “improves performance and responsiveness system wide.” We’ll be sure to spend some time with the update and check to see if there are any noticeable performance improvements.
