Hyundai Elantra Walking Dead Edition Becomes a Reality

When you want to build a car capable of surviving in the zombie apocalypse, who do you turn to for a design? Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead, of course.

To celebrate the upcoming 100th issue of The Walking Dead comic series, Hyundai has teamed up with Kirkman to design a car capable of surviving in the zombie wasteland based on a Hyundai Elantra GT.  The drawings were then then turned over to Design Craft Fabrication to be turned into reality.  While the real world car isn’t having all of its parts made out of metal, it is still a pretty impressive looking machine.  (The front windshield would concern me however, those bars don’t look like they would keep much out.)

No word as of yet if the car will be making an appearance in the comic or television series, but it will be making an appearance at this week’s San Diego Comic-Con.

You can head over to HyundaiUndead to register to win an Elantra GT, sadly it will not come with any of the zombie defense systems.
