Samsung has been dealt another blow in its effort to stay a ban over the Galaxy Tab 10.1. According to Reuters, the South Korea-based company’s bid on Friday was rejected by the U.S. Court of Appeals, meaning Samsung can most definitely no longer sell the Android-powered tab in America.
“Samsung’s request for an immediate stay is denied,” the court said.
A similar bid to have a preliminary injunction lifted against the device was rejected earlier this week. While Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus has been hit with a ban because of patent infringement, that issue has reportedly been worked out by a forthcoming software update.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 isn’t exactly flying off store shelves because of high consumer demand, but the verdict is certainly a blow for Samsung… although, it’s not like the company is struggling at the moment.
