Facebook App Center Rolls Out Across U.K.

After making its debut in the United States nearly a month ago, Facebook’s new App Center is now making its way across the United Kingdom. You can access the service via in your computer’s web browser, or by using Facebook’s mobile apps for Android and iOS.

Facebook App Center is home to a catalog of mobile apps that use the social network for sharing. For example, you’ll find titles like Instagram, Yelp, Flixster, Farm Ville, Draw Something, and lots, lots more. The idea is to make it easier for users to access the apps that everyone is talking about. It also helps developers get their app recognized.

Although it can be see as an alternative to the App Store or Google Play, App Center actually works alongside these marketplaces by redirecting you to them when you find an app you want to install on your device. Its special feature is that once your app is installed, it will be automatically linked to your Facebook account, so you won’t have to do it manually.

App Center is currently home to around 600 apps, and you can bet that number will rapidly increase as the service becomes more popular.

Have you tried App Center yet?
