New iPad - With Logo

Apple is allegedly prepared to sell the newest version of its iPad in China on July 27th. The news follows Apple’s recent settlement with Proview, in which it paid $60 million to win the rights to the iPad moniker in China. Currently, Apple only sells the first iteration and the iPad 2 in mainland China. We’re curious if Apple will continue pushing the “4G” claims in China, even though the company’s tablet only supports 4G networks in North America. Apple ran into trouble in Australia after marketing the tablet as a 4G device and eventually had to remove those claims from its marketing materials.
