Sprint’s Motorola PHOTON Q 4G LTE Passes Through the FCC

Sprint’s 4G LTE network is set to go live in less than a fortnight and the Now Network already offers several 4G LTE smartphones. However, it appears that Sprint may soon be receiving a new bundle of joy from Motorola Mobility. A device carrying the model number XT897 has passed through the FCC with support for both NFC and Sprint’s 1900MHz LTE. Information on this handset may be running slim, but we’re willing to wager that this is the rumored PHOTON Q 4G LTE.

The original Motorola PHOTON 4G’s one-year anniversary is set for July 31st, which makes us think that we should see something in August or September. However, until we hear something official from Sprint or Motorola Mobility, we’ll be playing this one close to the vest.
