Apple is allegedly on course to launch a new iMac with a Retina Display this fall. Don’t get your hopes up just yet, however. The story was published by DigiTimes on Tuesday, which doesn’t exactly have a flawless track record when it comes to predicting Apple’s product launches. Still — the site says it has heard from supply chain “sources” that Apple will start to receive the parts from its suppliers in July and the new iMac could “possibly” launch around October. We’re expecting a new iMac and we also largely believe that Apple’s new iPhone 5 will launch this fall, so the two could fall-in line together. We also don’t see a reason why Apple wouldn’t include a Retina Display in the higher-end model of the iMac line.
