Call of Duty: Black Ops is Coming to Mac, Previous Releases Half Price Until July 4

Call of Duty: Black Ops coming to Mac 2012

Aspyr Media has announced that it is bringing Activision’s record-breaking first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops to the Mac — via the Mac App Store — this fall, and to celebrate, it has reduced all of its previous Call of Duty titles by 50% until July 4.

The title will be familiar to gamers who have played Treyarch’s original release on consoles, because it’s a full port of exactly the same game. It boasts the same intense single-player campaign, the same online multiplayer mode, and of course the much-loved Zombies mode. This is the first time ever we’ll see Call of Duty Zombies on a Mac.

Ted Staloch, Aspyr’s Executive Vice President, says that although his company has worked with some of the biggest brands in the entertainment world, Call of Duty: Black Ops is the biggest release in its 17-year history:

“Aspyr has worked with the biggest brands in the entertainment world, but the launch of the original Call of Duty: Black Ops for Apple fans is our biggest in 17 years. Treyarch has created a masterpiece and we are thrilled to launch later this year.”

While you’re waiting for that fall release, why not go back and enjoy some of Aspyr’s previous Call of Duty games for Mac? After all, with 50% each and every one of them, there’s never been a better time. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty can all be found in the Mac App Store, or via Aspyr direct.
