That didn’t take long — apparently pre-orders for Google’s brand new 7-inch $199 Nexus 7 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet are already taking off. BusinessInsider‘s Steve Kovach recently spoke with Google’s director of Android product management, Hugo Barra, who revealed that the number of pre-orders is already “big.” Barra didn’t provide a specific sales figure, but we can’t say we’re too surprised. The tablet packs a ton of features, including the latest version of Android, a camera, access to all that Google Play has to offer, a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and 16GB or 32GB of storage all for under $200. Did you pre-order a Nexus 7? Stay tuned for our full review if you’re holding out to hear more on it. In the meantime, be sure to check out our unboxing.
