Dishonored Demos Show Both Stealth and Brutality

Bethesda has released two gameplay videos of their upcoming open world assassination game, Dishonored. These demos spread the games popularity through word of mouth on the E3 floor this year after the game never was shown off at a press conference. Now both co-directors Raphael Colantonio and Harvey Smith explain their strategies of two vastly different approaches to the same mission.

The nameless assassin must do away with two corrupt politicians at a local sleazy bath joint called “The Golden Cat.”

The first video shows off how the developers want you to play, as its easy tell from the excitement in their voices. Rather than charging through heaps of guards, the assassin possesses a fish to sneak into the spa up through the sewers and silences his targets through smart traps the look like accidents.

The second video is much bloodier and more resource consuming with a huge body count and a dagger ending up through the target’s neck, as well as an exciting battle with the robotic Tallboys who patrol the streets of this open city.

Dishonored will be release on October 9th for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
