Lenovo ThinkPad Tablets Get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in U.S.

Lenovo ThinkPad TabletLenovo has this week begun its rollout of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for ThinkPad Tablet users located in the United States, following its release to users in Europe last month.

In addition to a much-improved user interface, the software delivers NFC-based sharing via Android Beam, Face Unlock, and access to better core applications, such as Gmail, Calendar, and of course the Google Chrome beta.

The Verge┬áreports that the update has actually been circulating since Monday, and so some of you may have already received it. But for those of you who haven’t, it should certainly be on its way. You will receive a notification when it’s available for your device, but if you’d like to double-check, you can do so by tapping the ‘Software Update’ button within the Settings menu.

Has your Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet received Ice Cream Sandwich yet?
