Latest Apple TV Software Enables Deeper Customization Options [Video]

Apple’s latest beta for Apple TV enables a new feature that allows users to customize the order of the icons on their Apple TV homescreens. If you watch Netflix the most, for example, you might want it in one place. Or, if you don’t subscribe to MLB.TV, you can bury it further down in the list. MacRumors¬†said that users with the new beta can access the feature by holding down the Select button on the Apple TV remote for “several seconds.” Suddenly, the icons will begin to jiggle much like they do on an iPhone and you can use the remote’s buttons to move the apps around. MacRumors¬†also points out that you’ll only be able to move one icon at a time. Apparently you can’t yet hide or delete applications, although we wouldn’t be surprised to see Apple implement those features in the future.
