Google Play Assets Unveils First Google Nexus 7 Image

by Brandon Russell | June 27, 2012June 27, 2012 8:57 am PDT

google-nexus-7According to The Verge, the above image is what the Asus-branded Nexus 7 looks like. Ugh, look at that unsightly bezel. We’re about thirty minutes away from the start of Google I/O, and if this is the tablet’s design, we’re a tad disappointed, especially with Asus’ record for making such beautiful hardware (Transformer, Transformer Prime, Transformer Pad Infinity, etc.). Investigating the picture, it looks as though there’s a front-facing camera as expected, with no rear camera (also expected). In addition, it looks like Chrome will indeed be the default browser in what we’d assume to be Android Jelly Bean (that dock!) as the OS running on the Nexus 7. Follow TechnoBuffalo’s liveblog of the whole shindig right here.
