Google Nexus 7 Tablet to Cost $199, Pre-orders Start Today, Shipping in Mid-July


Google just announced its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean-powered Nexus 7 tablet on Wednesday. The device packs a 1200 x 800 HD display, NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 processor, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a battery that supports up to 9 hours of battery life. The tablet is entirely focused around Google Play content such as magazines, books, movies, music and tv shows. Google said the tablet will be available today for just $199.99. It also comes with a $25 Google Play store credit and Transformers Dark of the Moon Movie, The Bourne Dominion book. Orders will ship in mid-July.
