This is less a product advertisement and more a portfolio recap. Sony has rolled out an easter egg-laden advert for its Xperia ion on AT&T aimed at showing consumers what everything is like in HD.

We spent a few weeks testing the ion, and ultimately felt it had more style than substance. One important thing it lacked, which is a killer in today’s market, was a good battery. A phone that can’t manage a charge through the afternoon doesn’t deserve a spot next to the likes of the One X or Galaxy S III. Not to mention the device is launching with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
