As expected, Cricket is now offering the iPhone 4S — 8GB ($399) and 16GB ($499) — to folks who prefer the prepaid route. The plan will run customers $55 a month and offers unlimited calls, texts and Web. One caveat, however, is that Cricket will throttle speeds after 2.3GB of data is consumed, per month, so users are essentially getting unlimited-data-but-not-actually. Buzz has apparently been high surrounding the device’s June 22 arrival. According to a statement to CNET, Cricket said lines formed prior to the handset’s launch.
