Windows Phone 8 Nokia MapsMicrosoft is ditching Bing Maps in Windows Phone 8 in favor of Nokia’s mapping technology, which current Lumia owners know all about. The Redmond company said the new tech will offer NAVTEQ data, offline map support (awesome!), 3D, map control for developers and turn-by-turn directions. Microsoft has gone and kicked it’s own service to the curb in favor of something better, and all Windows Phone 8 owners will see just how cool Nokia mapping technology.
