Samsung Galaxy Note II Allegedly Shipping in October With Jelly Bean, Flexible Display

There have been several claims that Samsung is working on a followup of its Galaxy Note. However, we can prepare to throw some new rumor logs on the fire, as Korean newspaper¬†Maeil Business has reported alleged details about Samsung’s second “phablet.” The Samsung Galaxy Note II is claimed to be similar in appearance to the Galaxy S III, but is said to feature a flexible unbreakable plane (UBP) display that will be larger than the current Galaxy Note’s 5.3-inch display. As for additional hardware, the report claims that the Galaxy Note II will feature a quad-core processor that, if true, we’d expect it to be Samsung’s Exynos 4 Quad CPU.

Said to be targeting a toe-to-toe launch with Apple’s next iPhone, the Galaxy Note II could hit retail in October. In addition to the aforementioned next-gen specs, the report concludes by saying that the next Galaxy Note will be skipping Android 4.0 and shipping with Jelly Bean instead. While these are lofty claims, if they happen to hold true this would be a huge leap for “phablet” fans everywhere.
