A former AT&T employee has admitted to selling information related to AT&T’s sales figures of Apple and Research In Motion products, Reuters reported recently. “I provided insider information concerning AT&T’s sales of Apple’s iPhone and RIM’s Blackberry products, as well as other handset devices sold through AT&T distribution channels,” Alnoor Ebrahim told a Manhattan U.S. district judge on Monday. Prosecutors recommended that Ebrahim spend a up to two years in prison, Reuters said. Ebrahim billed himself as an employee with “Primary Global Research,” which sold company secrets to insider traders at hedge funds. AT&T said it cooperated with authorities during the investigation and confirmed that Ebrahim is no longer an employe with the company.
