TechnoBuffalo Talks Microsoft’s Tablet on CNBC

Todd Haselton CNBC TechnoBuffalo

We just wrapped up an appearance on CNBC discussing Microsoft’s tablet announcement, which is largely expected to be made during a press conference at 4:00 p.m. Pacific time. CNBC asked us what we thought Microsoft will unveil and we think it’s going to be a Windows RT tablet. This might not be a good move for Microsoft — the company could set lower expectations by releasing a Windows RT device first instead of a full-powered Windows 8 tablet. Worse, it may be trying to enter a crowded tablet market dominated by the Kindle Fire and the iPad. At best, we think Microsoft could leverage its product with compelling services and possible Xbox Live integration for additional media services and controls. We’ll be attending the conference and bringing you all the details as they are revealed, so be sure to tune in to our live blog. For now, enjoy the clip below.
