LG has confirmed this morning that the second addition to its new “L Series” of smartphones is coming to Europe this month. The LG Optimus L5 is a mid-range handset that was initially unveiled at Mobile World Congress back in February. It features a 4-inch HVGA display, an 800MHz processor, and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and an LED flash.
There’s 4GB of internal storage for your data, which can be extended via the microSD card slot; a 1,500 mAh battery to keep you going, and NFC technology. As far as software goes, the Optimus L5 comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed, which is complimented by LG’s Optimus UI.
The Optimus L5 certainly isn’t the most impressive Optimus handset from LG, then, but it does have some decent attributes. With Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed and NFC inside, the Optimus L5 is an attractive handset for budget smartphone buys. It’s also looks pretty great, too.
LG has confirmed the Optimus L5 will arrive in Europe later this month, then in the Middle East, Asia, and America later. There’s no word on pricing just yet, however.
