All Apple Store Employees Will Reportedly Get $4 Per-Hour Raise (Update: Confirmed)

Here’s a bit of good Monday news if you work for Apple retail — apparently all Apple Store employees will receive a $4-per-hour raise beginning on July 20th. Business Insider first reported on the story and said that the decision was made after employees submitted an internal review report that suggested many felt they were underpaid. Business Insider said that Apple specialists in New York Apple Store locations will make about $17 or $18 per hour after the new salaries go into effect; that’s up from the $13-$14 those employees currently make. There isn’t any official word from Apple yet, but that sounds like a pretty nice bump to us.

Update: We’ve confirmed with a an Apple Store source that Apple Store employees will indeed get a $4 per-hour raise.
