Apple typically charges $129 to replace the battery in a MacBook Air, but it’s going to charge much more than that to replace the battery inside the MacBook Pro with Retina Display. We’ve already heard that the MacBook Pro with Retina Display is nearly impossible to fix without Apple’s help and, according to Computerworld, it’s going to cost $199 to replace the battery. That’s $70 more than it costs for the same repair on a MacBook Air or the same 95 Whr battery in the non-Retina MacBook Pro. Users can choose to ship the unit to Apple or visit an Apple Store to have the battery replaced. For more information on the MacBook Pro with Retina Display, be sure to check out our hands-on.
