If you’re a T-Mobile customer who has been crushing on the thought of a new phone with a full sliding keyboard, then your ship might soon be coming in. Internally known as model number SGH-T699, this unnamed Samsung slider has been outed with T-Mobile branding. While details remain slim, it’s said that you can expect to find a Qualcomm Snapdragon (S3 or S4) inside calling the shots and a 5-megapixel camera as the phone’s primary picture taker. These specs may not sound mind blowing, but the big news here is that this handset is said to ship with Android 4.0.4, a build that many well established devices are still waiting for.
So if you’ve been holding out for an Android smartphone with a physical keyboard and the latest flavor of Ice Cream Sandwich, hopefully you won’t have to wait too much longer. This up-and-comer may not scream “flagship,” but we’re sure it will meet the needs of plenty. The only thing left now is for T-Mobile or Samsung to cough up a release date, which shouldn’t be too far off.
