T-Mobile Galaxy Note Passes Through the FCC

When we last checked in on the magenta bound Samsung Galaxy Note there was word of it arriving on July 11th. It appears that this claim may have just gained a little steam, as a T-Mobile-friendly version of Samsung’s “phablet” has made its way through the FCC. The filed documentation notes that model SGH-T879 supports 2G data on the 850MHz and 1900MHz bands, as well as 3G data on 1700MHz. In addition to playing nice with T-Mobile’s spectrum this new Note also lists support for and 850MHz, which we suspect to be used for roaming. While a nod from the FCC doesn’t guarantee an immediate retail release, it certainly helps move things along.
