Yesterday, Apple unveiled its new MacBook Pro with Retina display laptops and said that they were shipping immediately. Apparently demand has been hot, however, since the company’s online store now says the new MacBook Pro with Retina display is shipping in 2-3 weeks. This applies to both the 2.3GHz and the 2.6GHz models, which cost $2,199 and $2,799, respectively. The base model comes equipped with 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics and a battery that provides 7 hours of battery life. As MacRumors notes, the new non-Retina MacBook Pro models are still in stock and are shipping within 1-3 business days.
