Your next Lumia device could come with 41-megapixel PureView camera sensors. “You can expect we’ll be bringing PureView technologies to the Windows Phone platform in future Lumia devices,” said Nokia USA President Chris Webber. It doesn’t get anymore transparent than that.
Webber didn’t reveal a timeframe, but he did say that, in conjunction with Microsoft, the handset maker is “absolutely committed” to ensuring Lumia devices work with PureView imaging technology. Could you imagine if one day an entire college class had devices capable of taking 41-megapixel shots?
Windows Phone is still lagging well behind Android and iOS, in terms of market share, but Nokia’s newest Lumia line, particularly the 900, is a huge reason for consumers to consider Microsoft’s mobile OS. Pair that with PureView camera tech, and you got a super flagship right there.
