Did We Stop Dreaming With the Space Program Cuts? (video)

For those who dream of going where no one has gone before, the ultimate technology lies in space exploration. And given that, NASA’s deep-digging cutbacks last year were heartbreaking. It was like watching someone cut short the very future and potential of mankind.

But don’t give up, says Neil deGrasse Tyson. A magnetically charismatic astrophysicist, he challenges the public to see “NASA, not as a handout, but as an investment,” one that gives us a continued stake in the empowering spirit of discovery.

“You can’t put a price on space exploration,” he says in the video “We Stopped Dreaming,” a work that shows how massive an impact it was for people to see the Earth from the surface of the moon. This is a must-see for space geeks, tech nerds and anyone else who could use a dose of hope right now.
