Dropbox Confirms Verizon and AT&T Have Opted Out of 50GB Promo for Galaxy S III

Dropbox bannerHere’s something to consider when deciding which of the five carriers to get the upcoming Galaxy S III on: Verizon and AT&T customers aren’t eligible for the 50GB of free Dropbox storage promotion. Via Dropbox’s forums, one bemused S III owner questioned where their storage was, only to receive this response: “Select carriers have opted-out of the promotion on phones otherwise eligible,” Dropbox said. “Unfortunately, AT&T and Verizon are among these carriers not currently participating.” It’s a small blow for expectant Verizon and AT&T customers, but having the tradeoff of better LTE networks certainly makes being ineligible a bit easier to stomach.
