On June 10th, Sprint will begin charging a $15 fee to change your phone number if you try to do so in stores or by calling customer support. However, if you’re like us, you probably want to save that $15 for something better… like a decent lunch. If you’re a Sprint customer who needs to change your phone number, you’ll be able to so for free via Sprint’s website. For a full how to, check out the step by step instructions below.

1. Login to

2. Click on My Preferences tab

3. Click on Change phone number under  ‘Things I can manage online –  account’

4. Follow the steps to complete your number change.

Sprint advises that you contact its online chat support if you hit a snag while trying to complete this self-serve option.
