MetroPCS announced its latest 4G LTE smartphone on Friday, the Huawei Activa. The device offers a limited feature set that includes a 5-megapixel camera, a 3.5-inch display with an HVGA-resolution and a front-facing VGA camera. Huawei and MetroPCS oddly decided to launch the device with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) instead of the newest Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. The Activa is Huawei’s first 4G LTE device in the U.S. and is available now from MetroPCS for $149.
