Say Your Goodbyes: iDEN Products No Longer Being Sold by Sprint

by Brandon Russell | June 6, 2012

iDEN RIPDon’t say we didn’t warn you; Sprint is no longer selling iDEN products. You can see for yourself on Sprint’s website, which shows nary a trace of the Nextel technology. The move is just another stepping stone in Sprint’s journey to kill off iDEN tech and free up spectrum for the carrier’s eventual 4G LTE network. While you mull over your iDEN-less future, know that Sprint is offering a number of handsets at heavily discounted prices in order to entice users over to its CDMA network — and many of them support Direct Connect, which means you can keep chirping away to friends, family and co-workers.
