During the Google Maps event on Wednesday, Google announced its latest Street View technology. The company has been using cars, push-carts (for museums), bikes and even snow mobiles to take photos for its Street View feature in Google Maps. The latest product is an Android-powered device with two lithium ion batteries that last all day and can be used for hiking around national parks such as the grand canyon or other points of interest, such as castles, to bring Street View imagery. Google Plans to work with partners to bring the latest images as soon as this fall.
