Virgin Mobile will become the second wireless carrier, following Cricket, to offer a prepaid iPhone, The Wall Street Journal said Tuesday. Sprint, which owns Virgin Mobile, will reportedly announce the availability in the coming weeks. We have also learned that Boost Mobile will begin selling the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S in early September. It’s unclear how much Virgin Mobile will charge for the device but we suspect it will be in the same $399 price range that Cricket has already set.
