Apple Mac Pro

The rumors that the Mac Pro will be receiving an update next week just got a bit more real as some new part numbers have been uncovered.

As we reported earlier, it looks like Mac Pro models are disappearing from Apple Stores around the country.  Now 9to5Mac has chimed in and says that it has uncovered three new part numbers for the expected refresh.

  • MD770LL/A – K5BPLUS,BETTER, BTR-USA
  • MD771LL/A – K5BPLUS,BEST,BTR-USA
  • MD772LL/A – K5BPLUS,ULTIMATE,BTR-USA

Apparently two of the model numbers correspond to base models, while the third is expected to come with OS X Server.

The evidence does seem to be piling up for a long overdue refresh to the Mac Pro line.  The last one took place in July 2010, so it does seem like its about time.
