Just day after acquiring Meebo, Google announced that it has acquired Quickoffice – an office suite that you may recognize as a staple on a number of Android smartphones in the United States. “Quickoffice has an established track record of enabling seamless interoperability with popular file formats, and we’ll be working on bringing their powerful technology to our Apps product suite,” Google’s engineering director Alan Warren said in a blog post on Tuesday. The company said it will continue to support Quickoffice users as it integrates the platform into a new “seamless, intuitive integrated experience.” Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
