As if the unsurpassed mileage range, customizable regenerative braking sensitivity and billboard sized capacitive touchscreen interface of the Tesla Model S were not enough benchmarks, the company now has the most advanced online car configurator to date. Dubbed the “Model S Design Studio,” Tesla enables customers to delve deep into the design and tech aspect of their future vehicles.
The Model S Design Studio is segmented into four categories: Paint, Roof & Spoiler, Wheels and Interior. A handful of monochromes, a blue, a green and a brown are the shades offered for the Standard models, while Signature Model S owners get to choose from a deep red, white, black or grey.
The roof can be customized to feature an all-glass panoramic sunroof while four different aluminum wheel variations can be selected from. Lastly, the interior offers three different colors of Napa leather, while the dash can be customized with wooden inlays.
The Signature Performance Model S retails for $106,900 while the regular Signature Model S comes in at $95,400. The Model S starts at $57,400 and Model S Performance jumps quickly to $92,400. All three top models will come with the most powerful 85kWh battery, which offers an estimated 300 mile range, while the base Model S can be customized with either of the three available batteries.
