MobileMe 30 days left emailWhether you’ve accepted it or not, the inevitable demise of MobileMe is happening. And just so you’re completely, absolutely, 100 percent aware of this fact, Apple has begun to send out emails reminding folks that iCloud is the new guy in town. Get used to it. If you didn’t make the transition to iCloud when Apple introduced the service last year, your last boarding call will come on June 30 when MobileMe officially ends. Stuff like files on your iDisk, photos in your gallery and websites you’ve published aren’t transferable from MobileMe, so plan accordingly. MobileMe holds a special place in TechnoBuffalo’s heart, particularly the iDisk functionality, so we’re sad to so the service go. But if you love something, set it free, right? Right? At least Apple is offering 20GB of free storage! iCloud requires Mac OS X Lion, iOS 5, Windows 7 or Vista SP 2, Apple said.
