The Zuck Gets Booted Off Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index

As of Tuesday, says Bloomberg, Mark Zuckerberg can no longer be counted as one of the world’s 40 richest people. At that point, Facebook had experienced an epic drop below the $30-a-share mark.

When the stock closed at $28.84, his epic fortune became slightly less epic, falling from $16.2 billion on Friday to $14.7 billion Tuesday. That’s just enough for Bloomberg’s daily Billionaire’s Index to kick him to the curb. But all is not lost for The Zuck — he could rally to the tune of $800 million, which would be enough of an increase to edge him back in. Sadly, things aren’t looking too optimistic yet.

Shares opened on Wednesday at $28.40, which is down 44 cents. Bummer. Not too likely that Zuck’s sharing that on Facebook.
