Microsoft Finally Brings Photosynth Panorama App to Windows Phone

Photosynth for Windows Phone

Microsoft’s panoramic camera app, Photosynth, has finally arrived in the Windows Phone Marketplace today — more than 12 months after making its debut on the iPhone. The free application makes it easy to take 3D panoramic photos on Windows Phone Mango devices, simply by taking a series of images and then “stitching” them together.

Photosynth for Windows Phone is the panorama app that makes it easy and fun to capture and share interactive panoramas of the places, people, and events that are important to you. Using the latest in computer vision techniques, Photosynth is the acknowledged leader in mobile panorama creation. It is the only app available on any mobile platform that allows you to capture 360 degrees horizontally and vertically, making a perfect “sphere.”

Once your panorama is created, you can share it with your friends via Facebook, Twitter, Bing, or Microsoft’s Photosynth.net service. You can also use the application to view featured panoramas from other Photosynth users.

While this isn’t the first panoramic camera application for Windows Phone, it’s quite possibly one of the easiest to use, and you can’t complain at that price tag.

Have you tried Photosynth yet?
