You can add Karima Bawa to the growing list of top executives at RIM that have departed the company as of late.
It was announced today that Chief Legal Officer Karima Bawa has departed from BlackBerry maker RIM. Bawa was responsible for litigating many of the company’s patent disputes and played a key role in writing up many of the company’s commercial deals.
This follows closely to the departure of global sales chief Patrick Spence who left the company last week after 14 years.
RIM says that Ms. Bawa had been in discussions with the company for some time about her plans to retire and that she will stay on to help recruit and train her replacement.
