The circumstances were tricky and annoying and unfortunately left a slight blemish on an otherwise very exciting release from Sprint. While the ITC exclusion delay was out of the carrier’s hands, it’s good to know Sprint still has a “Customers First” mentality now that the HTC EVO 4G LTE is being shipped.
According to The Verge, Sprint is attempting to make amends to the situation by sending out free gel covers along with the device — at least to one customer who pre-ordered. It’s not much, but it’s better than nothing. After all, it’s the thought that counts, right? It’s unclear whether every pre-order is being shipped with a complementary gel case.
Sprint also included a note:
“HTC and Sprint want to thank you for your patience as we know you have been anticipating the arrival of your new HTC EVO 4G LTE. Please accept this accessory as a small token of our appreciation and thanks.”
