Sprint’s roster of LTE-ready smartphones may be running a bit on the thin side, but America’s third largest wireless carrier has plans to beef things up. If you took a shining to the recently released LG Viper, but wished it had a hardware keyboard, then you’re in luck. Pictured above is a grainy shot of the LG LS860, which is said to be bound for Sprint with support for its budding 4G LTE network.
Said to be carrying the codename “Cayenne,” this device’s purported specifications include a 4-inch WVGA IPS display, a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor and Android 4.0. Tipped by an unnamed source, BriefMobile states that there’s no clear launch date in sight. Hopefully those of you who prefer a little extra hardware in addition touchscreen input, the wait won’t be too long.
